Tanja and Claire, two friends
living in Wells, Somerset who met
through work within the education
system. We both have a passion
we wanted pursue outside of the
standard day to day.
Tanja :
I have been drawing for as long as I have been able to hold a pen or brush. After a break away from my art, to concentrate on my work & family, I have once again rediscovered my passion and often use it as a tool to centre and calm myself after a hectic day. My preferred medium is pencil and being an animal lover myself I love to draw these amazing creatures., Every one of them has their own unique personality that can shine through in piece of art. Drawing portraits of people is also a passion of mine. Everyone is unique and my job as an artist is to capture this for all to see. My portraits are normally of the head and shoulders. They start at £40 for a person and £45 for a pet.Claire :
I have always loved taking pictures but like many it was generally just to capture memories. I never thought of myself as artistic but when I found myself with some extra time on my hands I decided to fill it with a photography course. I began to understand the beauty all around us and how to capture this. Like any artist I want to share my work with others and this is how I came to collaborate with Tanja, it seemed a perfect fit as we are both offer something different within the arts. My pictures are varied ranging from the more abstract to the traditional landscape, I have a particular interest in wildlife and nature which is reflected in the prints that I offer.
